Brenda Edwards Galliano

1993 biography

After graduation from nursing school and passing the state boards in 1965, I worked and enjoyed the single life until November '69 when I married Jim.  In March '72 we had our first son and I stayed at home being mommy.  In November '77 we had our second son (10 lbs, 1 oz, natural delivery).  He was born on our eighth anniversary. 

In 1979 St. Charles parish began its school nurse program - I was hired and assigned to Destrehan High School.  In 1981 I took a four year break to drive carpools but in 1985 the school nurse's job beckoned to me and I returned.  I am presently assigned to New Sarpy Elementary in Ormond Estates and I will also be assigned to the new elementary school opening in '94 adjacent to New Sarpy Elementary in Ormond.

Jason graduated from DHS in '90 and attends LSU majoring in business.  He is an excellent bowler.  Had a perfect 300 at age 16.  Josh attends DHS and has applied to the LA school of Material Sciences and the Arts.  He plans to graduate from there in '95.  He is a straight 'A' - honors curriculum student and member of the fighting wildcats football team - collector of comics and sports cards.

In February '94 my parents will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary and Jim and I will celebrate our 25th in November '94.
